FOR IPHONE · MADE WITH APPLE MUSIC · COMING SOON

Make someone a tape.

Pick the songs. Put them in order. Write a note in the margin. TapeHeart turns Apple Music into a mixtape made for one person — and gives them something to unwrap.

No spam. One email at launch. Privacy

A playlist is for everyone. A tape is for someone.

When someone makes you a tape, every choice is a message: which song goes first, what they saved for Side B, what they wrote next to track two. TapeHeart brings that feeling back to music you already stream.

HOW IT WORKS

Four steps. One person in mind.

The full walkthrough →
  1. 01 · PICK

    Choose the songs

Search Apple Music and add songs to Side A and Side B.

  2. 02 · ORDER

    Put them in order

Every song is a stripe as long as the song. Drag to reorder. Each side holds 23, 30 or 45 minutes.

  3. 03 · DESIGN

    Make it yours

Design the cassette, write a note on its card, and leave a note on any song.

  4. 04 · GIVE

    Give it away

Send it with a link. They untie it, read your note, and press play.

THE RIBBON

Every song becomes a stripe.

Lay a tape out flat and you get a ribbon. TapeHeart draws yours as you make it, so you can see how a side flows, and how much room is left.

  • Longer songs, longer stripes. Length is something you can see, not just a number.
  • Side B is the back of the ribbon. Flip the tape over when Side A ends, just like the real thing.
  • A side has an end. Pick 23, 30 or 45 minutes a side. Limits make every song count.

THE CASSETTE

Design the tape they'll keep.

Choose a shell, a label and a case, and write on its card. Your songs wind onto the reels in their own colors, so no two tapes look alike.

TRY A SHELL

THE GIFT

The best part is opening it.

A TapeHeart tape doesn't just appear in a list. It arrives tied up in its own colors, with their name on it. You pull the ribbon, read the note, and the first song starts.

  1. 1 · IT ARRIVES

    Tied up, just for them

"Josh made you a tape." The heart is knotted in the colors of the songs inside.

  2. 2 · THEY UNTIE IT

    Pull the ribbon

One pull and the knot unravels into the tape's ribbon, song by song.

  3. 3 · THE NOTE, THEN SIDE A

    Your words come first

The tape's card unfolds with your note and the tracklist. Then the music begins.

LISTENING

Listen the way it was made.

The player lights up in the color of each song. When you reach a song with a note, the note is right there with it.

  • A1In order, start to finish. No shuffle.
  • A2Notes appear at the songs they were written for.
  • B1Flip to Side B when Side A ends.
